6 Second Break In Report

Actual 6-second break-in report from a local news source:

"On Monday, Sept. 7, Holly police responded to a home in the 400 block of Rosette to investigate a breaking and entering complaint. Police made contact with the 83-year-old home-owner. The resident said he left his home at 2:30 p.m. that day and when he returned at 7:15 p.m., he noticed that the door of his attached garage was open. The door was being held open with a lawn chair. The resident said a 2½ gallon gas can and a six-pack of Bud Light was missing. No entry to the home was made. It appeared that the suspect pushed open the top panel of the garage door to pull on the emergency release lever to open the door. They then placed the chair under the door to keep it open. The case remains under investigation."

This actual news report doesn’t specifically name the technique used to described how the burglar entered the garage, but it’s called "The 6-Second Breakin" because the process described can be done within 6 seconds. Imagine, that within 6 seconds a burglar can enter your garage and possibly even your home with no sign of forced entry. The Garage shield is an anti-theft device that prevents the 6-second break by blocking the hook that is used to release the garage door from the track. Protect your garage, your home, your valuables and your family by ordering and installing the garage shield on your garage door.
