All home security systems work on the same basic principle. They secure entry points such as doors and windows, as well as the interior rooms that contain valuables like electronics, heirlooms, guns, and coin collections. Regardless of the size of your home or the number of doors, windows, or interior rooms it entails, home security is mega important.
A typical home security system includes:
- A control panel, which is the primary controller of a home’s security system
- Door and window sensors
- Motion sensors, both interior and exterior
- Wired or wireless security cameras
- A loud alarm or siren
- A yard sign and window stickers
Your garage is one of the most vulnerable entry points to your home. A keypad used to open and close your garage door is NOT A SECURITY DEVICE.
Be sure to check out THE GARAGE SHIELD. It provides an added layer of security as well as peace-of-mind against garage break-ins.
