Overhead Door Protection

When formulating the overall plan to protect your overhead garage door, be sure to incorporate the following:

Install motion-detecting floodlights near all points of entry including doors and windows

Trim trees and shrubs that could create a hiding spot for burglars

Rearrange your belongings so valuable items aren’t in plain sight when you close or open the front garage door

If the remote for the garage door opener is clipped on your car visor, make sure the car is LOCKED when it’s in the driveway

Don’t hide spare keys in spots where every wannabe burglar will look like in a flower pot or under a welcome mat

On rear and side doors that are not in plain sight, install a dead bolt that can be locked and unlocked only from the INSIDE
