Taking on a project like changing your garage door isn’t as costly or complicated as you think. If you have a single garage door, let’s say 9′ x 7′, it might only cost you a little more than $1000 to do it. Not more than that?
But how can that be? Well, we often want to compare the price of changing a garage door to that of replacing your home’s main entrance door that could have stained glass, side windows and a beautiful brass or nickel doorknob. That could run you $2500 or more!
Now that we’ve gotten past the barrier of price, why not take a look at some BEFORE / AFTER projects that will show you how the fact of replacing your garage door can completely change the appearance of your house as well as provide benefits that you’d never imagined. You don’t need to live in a mansion to see a major improvement that will wow everyone!

It’s possible to see how the look of your home will change BEFORE you spend a penny
Do you want to see what your house would look like with a new garage door? It doesn’t take long and is really quite easy to do. Garaga provides its virtual Design Centre that allows you to see the makeover that you are envisioning for your next garage door.
All you have to do is upload a photo of your current home to their design software program, then start to build your dream garage door.
As for taking a picture of your house, ensure you:
- Can see your whole house, to have all its components.
- Stand in front of the garage door or in between if you have two single garage doors.
- Have a nice clear day and that the sun is shining on the front of your house to bring out all the true colors.
- You don’t need a high-resolution camera. Your smartphone does a good job in this situation.
